Jameson is now 17 months..it has been a long time since my last post! I'm not very good at this blogging thing! Where do I even begin?!
Jameson is around 22lbs, is just learning to walk and is loving the summer life so far! His main interests are: wheels, cars, outside and bananas. He's learning sign langauge quickly these days, which is wonderful for both of us!! Some of the signs are helpful like: more, all done and please, others like school bus, airplane, and phone are some of his favorites. He's also learning some animal signs like bird, alligator and lobster are fun to watch him do when he's reading books. I love that he can communicate with me, it cuts down on so much frustration and it helps me "hear" whats going on in his head! Along with signing he's using actual words, some of his favorites are: Daddy, ball, car, bubbles and Kitty...these are all very clear, anyone would understand what he's saying, then there's the words/sounds he has made up for something such as his pacifier and cuddle (burp cloth he uses as a blankie) he calls "Ga-gnnnn" and his sippy cup is a "Num". Balloon is "gmmm" and his lastest is "poo" for pool.
Since I last wrote Jameson took his first plane ride, in January we all flew to Washington to visit Auntie Krista and then on to Ocean Side CA to visit Aunt Steph and Uncle Dave. The plane ride...well, let's just remind you we flew with a 1 year old, but the trip was great! It was fun to see where Auntie Krista lives and what life is like in Seattle. In CA we saw it all! San Diego Zoo, Sea World and I even went whale watching. We crammed a lot in in a week and a 1/2!
This summer we'll be staying at a cottage up north with a couple of families and then Jameson and then I'm going to take Jameson on his first camping trip! We'll be tenting it at Muskegon Channel State Park, praying for good weather and a good nights sleep!
