1st of all I'm in shock that he is only 3 months away from being 1 years old! Shocked that he has been here just as long I was pregnant with him! And shocked how much in love I am with him! He is a very loved little man, I get reports from nursery that he's "SUCH A GOOD BOY!" and "What a sweet smile he has." This past week when we arrived at church, Ryan and I put out our hands to shake the greeters' hands only to hear "HI Jameson!" both greeters went right to him and our hands were left waving in the wind! We got a pretty good laugh out of that! Jameson's favorite things to do is stand next to furniture...usually he'll laugh when you stand him next to something. He still LOVES to swing! Ryan hung up a swing from a branch (about 2-3 stories up!) and since it's been such a beautiful fall J has been enjoying almost daily! He loves music, stories and tickles! It seems that he's putting away the "stranger fears" and is able to relax and enjoy new people! At J's last doctors appointment he weighed in at 18lbs which puts him in the 13th percentile: highest percentile he's ever been in! lol He's also 27.25 inches long. Happy, Healthy and very talkitive little boy! He is saying "Dada" now, but he doesn't know what it really means. He's not crawling yet but he's figuring out how to scootch backwards. He is now eating some solids like: cheerios, bananas, bread etc. He just figured out how to clap! J and I were spending a day in Muskegon and his clapping skills took off! At one point my dad was playing songs to J on his guitar and when the song was over without any prompting J started to clap!! He sure loves his Grandpa! so sweet! On a sad note, just this past month J has stopped snuggling/curling into me during naps. He would still prefer to take a nap with me, but it has to be next to me. I should be glad that it lasted 8 months, but it's still hard to close that chapter! Here are some pictures over the last month:

6 Months
I can hardly believe I have a 6 month old, it honestly scares me how fast this is going! He is growing and learning new tricks each week! This week he learned how to barrel roll around the Living Room. It cracks me up! He also just got his first tooth! VERY sharp! He experienced his first sleepover without Mom or Dad at Grandma and Grandpas! He did very well! ...and so did I! He's getting a lot better at sitting by himself, he no longer folds forward if you let go. He tips left or right but he jerks himself to try to balance himself out. He's not to the point yet where you can set him down and back away though but it's coming soon I'm sure! He has his 6 month appointment in a couple days; I'm guessing he's around 17lbs. (at 5 months he was 15lbs) Next weekend he'll start eating foods! Crazy I can't believe him! I'll post some 6 month pictures soon, hopefully i can get a big smile to show off his first pearly white! Smiles and giggles have been a little sparse lately with the teething pains.

5 Months
Jameson is now just over 5 months! He is learning so quickly and able to explore a lot more now that he is really reaching for things. I however, have not gotten used to this new trick so I've found a chip in his hand as well as his fingers in my dinner. Toys are getting so fun for him now! He has gotten very curious in our cat in the last couple weeks and he is learning how to not only take out the pacifier but put it back in! This is still a very rusty trick, success rate of probably 20%(that may be generous). He has proven that he loves the water: tub and pools! He has taken on quite the voice...not always the sweet coos you think of; think more of a squawking bird. We're not really sure where that came from or if that is going to stick around for awhile.
I took him to the doctor for a severe case of "Newmomitus" or "New-parent Syndrome) and he weighed in at 15lbs and left with a clean bill of health expect for a patch of eczema. I was more worried about the ear he kept pulling on and his uneven belly. (What you may be thinking! lol when breaths deep or cries his left side would puff up a lot higher so of course I thought...tumor or lung problems!)All was well though.
We've been having a lot of playdates and J has proven to be pretty good at them so far! It is so fun to get together with mom's in the same stage of life as me and bounce questions, concerns and even just relate our experiences with each other. So we'll plan many more of those in the future!
I've been pulling a little inflatable Duck Tub outside as his swimming pool, the first time it didn't go well but once i warmed up the water a little he LOVED it! Plus I love the snuggle time afterward!

Jameson is now one week past 4 months! He is now trying to hold his own bottle...it's more like touching with spastic movements that often yanks the bottle out of his mouth and then he gets mad. He always wants to sit up, no more laying back for him! He tries to elbow his way up to sitting. Just this week he has begun to put a little weight on his legs and wants to stand on your lap. He is giggling more and more with each day; his giggle is honestly the most joyous noise, it still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it!

I bought this Jumperoo off Craigslist and I think Jameson is really going to like it! It has so many toys and seat rotates all the way around, plus he loves to push off on his feet so this jumping motion is great for him!

Jameson has reached 3 milestones this week! I heard his first real giggle! a couple days later he rolled over for the first time. I was taking naked butt pics and he rolled over and continued to do so making it hard t get the perfect picture! Though this week was fun, it also met me with many other not so fun moments; Crying more than normal, just plain irritable and no more sleepful nights. my once 10 hour sleeper would wake up at 2am and struggle to go back to sleep again that night. It wasn't until Saturday night that I realized he had started teething! He cut his first tooth (top eye tooth!)! crazy! What a week!

J is growing up so fast! Jameson is now 3.5 months old and weighs somewhere around 12-13 pounds. He is now making lots of bubbles, and drooling. He isn't laughing quite yet but instead he throws in a little cough where you'd think he would laugh. He loves being able to look out and see everything around him. He can follow you with his eyes as you pass through a room. He LOVES sucking on his fingers but sometimes they go in too far and he chokes on them. We've been able to get out on walks with him and he loves that for the most part! He still snorts a lot and sounds like he's talking when he has a pacifier in his mouth.

Ryan's sister Krista and her fiancée Jake and his dad came to stay with us for a week. They were very happy to meet Jameson. We had a busy week meeting lots of family members! Jameson met his Great Grandma Carson and Bever as well as a great uncle and a couple great aunts. Auntie Krista loved holding a happy Jameson and eventually got pretty good with an unhappy Jameson! She loved having him sleep on her! Grandma Katie came over to visit a few times that week and loved holding Jameson as much as she could!

9.5 weeks Jameson is growing so quickly...about 2 lbs/month to be exact! He now weighs 10.8lbs and 23.5inches long. His 2 month check up went wonderfully; Ryan and I were commended on how well we were doing. (What a relief!) Jameson got 2 shots this time. After the initial pain he quickly went right back to smiling, me on the other hand continued crying for a while! Jameson has met all his milestones this month: cooing, smiling, following an object 6 inches away and responding to loud noises in some way. He has found his hands/fists and often tries to comfort himself by sucking on them when his pacifier falls out. Jameson has such a sweet smile! One way that I can always get him to smile is to touch above his lip and talk about the mustache he'll have someday. I'm not sure why this is so funny to him but if that doesn't work talking about his "beard" works! Funny little boy! He's quickly outgrowing outfits with footies so I've been putting him in "big boy pants". I thought I wouldn't like him in those type of clothes because he wouldn't look so babyish but I have found that he is so adorable in jeans and cargo pants!
I have decided that I want nothing more than to be a stay at home mom. I feel good that I have finally made my decision official and excited to start this life with Jameson. I spent my first full day away from him today because I went to a conference through work. It was so hard being away from him. All the way home I was thinking "I'm even excited to get home to change his diaper!" When I got home I picked him up and cried and felt confident in the decision I made about staying home. I will certainly miss working/teaching but there is so much I want to teach Jameson!
