I'm officially beginning the 2nd trimester! I've read the next 3 months is when I'll feel my best. I hope so, however I'm a little doubtful considering I experienced morning sickness more this past week than I have yet! I have certainly learned not to wait to eat...even if it's 4am and I wake up hungry! I'm thinking this past week the baby must have experienced a big growth spurt because I was back to needing naps every day and never feeling full. I have my next appointment on Thursday. We're so excited for it, we really want to hear that heart beat!
This week the baby is about 3 1/2 inches long and weighs 1 1/2 oz. "This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb!" -Babycenter.com I will never cease to be amazed!

Week 13...last of the 1st trimester! Baby Bever is now a whopping 3 inches long, about the size of a medium shrimp. He/she is developing fingerprints on each of it's tiny fingers!
I'm still feeling great, even with fewer naps! I sure do go to the bathroom a lot though! Today I had my first (of many I'm sure) "nesting moments." For some reason today finding a crib became the utmost important task! Even though I'll be going to bed without being able to check this off of my list, I sure spent a majority of the day researching, Craigslisting and checking them out at Baby's R Us. I was even tempted to start clearing out the babys room, however I kept reminding myself I have SOOO much time to get that all worked out! I'm also noticing I'm a lot less in control of my emotions! I had high hopes for a crib on craigslist today and went to Baby's R Us to look at the same one. Ryan called to let me know that I got an email and they said they already sold it. I was so bummed I had to hold back tears! SILLY! Funny...I know it at the time that it is so silly however it doesn't turn off the emotions/tears. Oh boy, look out Ryan, this could be a long 6 more months!
Next week I have my 2nd appointment, where we will try again for the heartbeat and hopefully set up an appointment to have an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby.

Look at that lime! Not long ago it was the size of a sesame seed! Well lets see, this week I have certainly had more issues with smells. I'm amazed at how quickly smells activate my gag reflex. I'm really getting good at taking naps! Today I actually took a nap and woke up to go to the bathroom and returned to my nap! I'd say that's commitment!

Week 10 was a very fun and eventful week! I had my first appointment this week and all went well! Dr. Florido confirmed that I am indeed pregnant and everything looks fine. She tried to hear the heartbeat but wasn't able to find it, she said it was just a tad early. My next visit (July 23) she will try again and if she still does not hear it she will do an ultrasound. She did not seem concerned at all so at this point I won't concern myself with that worry. After the appointment Stephanie and Lena met me in GR and we went to Motherhood Maternity and tried on maternity clothes. I dreaded that experience but it turned out to be a hilarious experience! They had me strap on a pillow to mimic what the baby bump will look like! Then I tried on some pants with the typical maternity pants...ya know the ones with the blue waist that goes all the way up to your boobs. I felt like Mrs. Doubtfire with the stretchy pants and padding. I did buy my first maternity pants and shirt! Then we went to Babys R Us and Steph walked me around and showed me what to look for in certain products. What a fun "Baby Bever Day!"
Week 11 begins now and the baby is about 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig. My doctor has prescribed new prenatal vitamins that won't make me so constipated. Also she said I could take Zyrtec!!! So goodbye allergies...Hello Summer! This was very exciting news! It's crazy that I am almost a 1/3 of the way into this pregnancy!

A kumquat! My little baby kumquat is now growing finger nails and peach fuzz!! I'm so amazed at how much develops so early- I'm only 10 weeks along. "Your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development."-Babycenter.com This week is especially exciting because Ryan and I will be going to our first of many appointments. I cannot wait to hear the heartbeat, maybe then I won't feel the urge to take another test just to make sure I'm not making all of this up!
I'm still feeling great, the exhaustion seems to have let up. I have had a few bouts of heartburn this past week but I'd certainly take that over morning sickness! I will write again Thursday evening to tell you about how the appointment went.

Look at how big our baby is! The baby is now about 1 inch in length with all the vital organs in place as well as looking more and more like a human! This journey is so fun! I am so anxious to find out the sex of the baby. I know I have to wait quite a while yet! This past weekend I went out yard saleing with my parents and found a cute umbrella stroller and a bouncy seat! Ryan is certainly getting more and more excited! He put Kitty-Bear in the stroller and took her for a ride; she loved it! Steph came home this weekend for the summer and has many plans of shopping and registering this summer, it is going to be so nice to get that kind of advice from a new mom. As for how I'm physically doing, morning sickness has only happend a couple times other wise my battles are with achy boobs, constipation and allergies. Also I started noticing one pair of jeans is feeling a little tighter than usual.

Another week is behind me but it certainly presented many new challenges for me! My allergies really tested me this week and has left me avoiding going outside! I am struggling to sleep even though I am completely exhausted! Today has been a rough day, I've experienced Morning sickness for the real first time and have yet to keep anything down.
This week is week 8! Baby Bever is now getting some webbed fingers and toes! The baby is now about the length of a kidney bean! The most exciting part is that Baby Bever is now moving constantly even though I can't feel it!
